Widespread use of AI-support among gullible bloggers amplifies and regurgitates the lies about tanning and suppresses the truth. This article describes how to be aware of the drawbacks of AI article support and avoid them.

Artificial Stupidity about sun exposure, created by the Medical Industrial Complex, destroys real human knowledge.

AI (Artificial Intelligence) took the great leap into content creation when OpenAI released GPT-3 API in 2020.

The number of software providing authors with an interface to GPT-3 is increasing almost every day.

However, they all draw their “Intelligence” from the same 175 billion parameters/synapses (=pieces of content or “snippets”) published online and saved according to certain algorithms in GPT-3 by OpenAI, the company behind the development of GPT-3 (partly owned by Microsoft).

This article describes GPT-3 and lists two of the most serious drawbacks:

  1. GPT-3 lacks long-term memory — the model does not learn anything from long-term interactions like humans.
  2. GPT-3 suffers from bias — all models are only as good as the data used to train them, and GPT-3 is no exception.

In other words, “sh*t in, sh*t out.”

Ironically enough, handling the issue of bias to avoid “fake news” delayed the development of the GPT-3 algorithm for several months.

As more and more of you are becoming aware, “handling the issue of fake news” is more about the Internet search and social media giants “hiding the unwanted truth.”

(For example, by banning @thetanningguru from Twitter)

Likewise, the lack of long-term memory plays into the hands of the Big Pharma narrative about sun exposure and the use of sunbeds. A narrative that, since 1980, is 99% negative.

More widespread use of AI support among gullible bloggers amplifies and regurgitates the lies about tanning and suppresses the truth.

Churning out more content with the official narrative will lead to more misconceptions about suntanning and sunbeds to be fed into the next generation of GPT, thus cementing its biased artificial stupidity in a vicious cycle.

To prove my case, here are two examples where I use a popular GPT-3 software, conversion.ai (or “Jarvis”), to suggest blog post outlines.

  1. About “are tanning beds safe?”

are tanning beds same

  1. About “can I use a tanning bed to get vitamin D?”

As you can see, this is the opposite of what you learn here on thetanningguru.com.

So, what can be done to counter this trend and use AI to write true articles?

To begin with, we can diminish the first drawback, about lack of long-term memory, by finding and using older knowledge about the healing powers of sunlight in our writings about sun exposure for health.

Also, remember not to use AI-supported article writer support for research. Even if the algorithms of the big search engines are biased, you still get the results exactly as posted, not “improved” by AI.

If you use any AI software to help you write about suntanning and vitamin D, be aware of the drawbacks and correlate the suggestions with your research. Using this to correct and discard the fakest AI will help its algorithm look for more true snippets in a healthy circle.

Most importantly, use your brain to evaluate the logic and common sense and build your own “bias of truth.”

This can be hard if you are born after 1970 and have been spoon-fed Big Pharma’s negative mantras about sun exposure with your teachers, media, politicians, and health authorities jointly holding the spoon.

Remember that 99% of what you get from AI about sunbeds is the opposite of truth and use that to find the remaining 1% golden nuggets of tanning truth.

Even if GPT-3 holds 175 billion synapses in its database, your brain can hold 100 trillion “snippets” of knowledge collected with natural, human intelligence over a very long time.
