    There’s one clarification that you may appreciate. Sunlight by definition includes UVA, UVB and UVC. The smidgen of UVC is what I believe classifies sunlight as a carcinogen. It doesn’t matter that barely any UVC hits the earth’s surface.

      Hi John, you are right. And it is actually “solar radiation” as a common phenomena that is classified by IARC as carcinogenic to humans (Group 1).
      Here is the Overall evaluation from their original document from 1997.
      Solar radiation is carcinogenic to humans (Group 1).
      Ultraviolet A radiation is probably carcinogenic to humans (Group 2A).
      Ultraviolet B radiation is probably carcinogenic to humans (Group 2A).
      Ultraviolet C radiation is probably carcinogenic to humans (Group 2A).
